Otago's beaten Auckland 32-25 at Eden Park to end a 35-year provincial rugby losing streak at the ground and win the Lin Colling Memorial Trophy for the first time.

Auckland led 15-9 at half-time in the ITM Cup Cup inter-divisional game with the discarded All Black wing Joe Rokocoko scoring two tries.

But after a yellow card reduced Otago to 14 men flanker TJ Ioane, winger Buxton Popoali'i and fullback Glenn Dickson scored second half tries with Dickson kicking two of his five penalties after the break and converting one of the tries.

Replacement prop Pauliasi Manu got Auckland's third try.

Otago have now won both their opening games, while Auckland remain winless after losing to Canterbury on Sunday.

In the earlier Championship game, Counties-Manukau beat Manawatu 32 - 25 at Pukekohe, despite being out-scored three tries to two, with first-five James Semple kicking six penalties.
