The Raiders caused the upset of the round in the National Rugby League after scoring a last minute try to beat the defending champion Dragons 24-19 in a Monday night thriller in Canberra.

The Raiders came back from 18-6 down midway through the second half, preserving their incredible unbeaten run at home against the Dragons since 2000.

Most pundits had written off the Raiders against the St George juggernaught, but the Canberra and NSW Origin fullback, Josh Dugan, says when the green machine play to their strengths they can beat anyone.

The loss leaves the Dragons facing a tough ask to finish the regular season in the top two, while Canberra are still six points away from the top eight.
