The New Zealand golfer Lynnette Brooky has qualified for the British Women's Open championship again, winning the final qualifying 18-hole competition in Scotland as she did last year.

The 43-year-old New Zealand number one shared the honours at the Panmure Club, near the Carnoustie Championship links, which will host the Open from Thursday.

Brooky, a four time winner on the women's European Tour, finished on three-under-par 68 with 23-year-old Englishwoman Kym Larratt, who's in her second year as a professional.

They were one shot ahead of Korea's Jenny Shin, Italy's Veronica Zorzi, Holland's Dewi Claire Schreefel, English amateur Nikki Forster and American teenager Jessica Korda.
