Two Greek football teams have been relegated from the top flight to the second division because of their alleged involvement with a match-fixing ring.

Europa League hopefuls Olympiakos Volos and Kavala were also fined almost half a million dollars and their respective owners were banned for life from attending matches.

Both clubs argued that the decision was invalid and would fight to remain in the 16-team Super League.
