The Springboks have made four changes to the side that lost to the Wallabies for Saturday night's Tri-Nations Test against the All Blacks in Wellington.

The Stade Francais lock Gerhard Mostert makes his debut following a series of injuries to second row players.

The Sharks Jean Deysel makes his first start at seven, Danie Roussouw starts at number eight, while there are two changes in the backline with 20-year-old Patrick Lambie starting at fullback, Juan de Jongh moves to 12 and Adi Jacobs starts at 13.

Hooker John Smit captains the side in his 104th Test, while 11 of the starting 15 have played seven or fewer Tests.
