Boks say there is no conspiracy back home

4:21 pm on 28 July 2011

The South African Rugby Union has voiced its amazement of a reported conspiracy theory about a secret World Cup training camp in South Africa.

The Springboks left 21 injured players at home for the away leg of the Tri-Nations which continues against the All Blacks in Wellington on Saturday night.

There have been media reports that many of the players back in the Republic are not injured and that they are training under coach Rassie Erasmus in Rustenberg.

SARU's chioef executiveJourie Roux completely dismisses the suggestion..

He says when players are injured they're not sent off on holiday, they're put into a high performance centre to rehabilitate with medical help and he doesn't understand how that's confused with a conspiracy.
