McCaw won't be taking it easy

The All Blacks captain Richie McCaw doesn't expect any member of his side to hold anything back during the Tri-Nations because the World Cup is just around the corner.

While a number of the players are still looking to play themselves into the World Cup squad, there are others like McCaw, who could be forgiven for taken it a bit easier.

Speaking on the eve of their match against the Springboks in Wellington, McCaw says he's never gone into a match in a lower gear.

He says he's never gone into a game holding anything back and having been in teams that have looked a week ahead he knows how quickly they can be tipped over,.

Strong cold southeries and showers are forecast for Wellington.
