One new cap in Tall Blacks

There is one new cap in the New Zealand men's basketball team for the Stankovic Cup tournament in China and the Oceania Championships Olympic qualifying series against Australia.

However 17-year-old Isaac Fotu from Rangitoto College won't be able to play in the Oceania Championships as teams are limited to just one naturalised player for FIBA tournaments and Casey Frank is also in that category.

The Tall Blacks go into camp until Wednesday before going to China, where the other teams in the tournament are Angola and Russia.

They then travel to Italy for a training camp before a tournament in Macedonia and another in Turkey.

The Oceania series will be played in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in early September.

The rest of the squad is Tom Abercrombie, Benny Anthony, Mark Dickel, Michael Fitchett, Leon Henry, Kirk Penney, Alex Pledger, Lindsay Tait, Mika Vukona and Corey Webster.
