The United States, boosted by Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps, stormed to the 4x200 metres freestyle relay title at the world swimming championships in Shanghai on Friday.
Phelps, Peter Vanderkaay, Richard Berens and Lochte blitzed home in seven minutes 2.67 seconds to win gold ahead of France who took silver in 7:04.81 with China third in 7:05.67.
