Marshall says Tigers still have plenty to improve

The New Zealand rugby league captain Benji Marshall engineered a stunning Wests Tigers comeback as the Sydneysiders downed Manly 14-12 in a bruising National Rugby League clash at Bluetongue Stadium.

The gifted five eight created two of the Tigers three second half tries as they fought back from 12-nil down, the second a stunning 50 metre effort for Chris Lawrence that included a brilliant no-look pass.

The win was a timely boost for Wests, but Marshall says the Tigers still have plenty to work on.

Manly missed an opportunity to join Melbourne at the top of the NRL ladder, while the Tigers notched three straight wins for the first time in 2011 to cling to seventh place just inside the top eight.

In last night's other game the third placed Broncos crushed the 11th placed Sharks 46-16 in Brisbane.
