It appears there'll be a strong contingent of past and present Hurricanes in the All Black backline for Saturday night's Tri Nations and Bledisloe Cup rugby test against Australia in Auckland.
One is left wing Hosea Gear, whose Blues-bound former team-mates Piri Weepu and Ma'a Nonu could start at half-back and second-five respectively with Conrad
Smith at centre.
And a fifth Hurricane, Cory Jane, may stay on the right wing as a knee injury's troubling Sitiveni Sivivatu.
Meanwhile, although Weepu announced his move at the weekend Gear says super rugby options aren't his priority as he's still undecided and has more important things ahead. The team will be named on Thursday morning.
