Maria Sharapova remains unchallenged as the world's highest paid woman in professional sport.

The Russian tennis player may not have won a grand slam title since 2008, but for the 7th straight year she tops Forbes magazine's list with earnings estimated at more than 28-million dollars, mostly from off-court endorsements.

That's twice as much as her nearest rival, Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki, the current world tennis number one.

The American racing driver Danica Patrick was third with an estimated 14-million dollars.
