Blackburn Rovers, the home of All Whites skipper Ryan Nelsen, offers the cheapest match day experience for English Premier League football fans according to a BBC survey.

The survey shows Rovers offer better value deals for adults without season tickets, than the rest of the top flight clubs.

Rovers offer $20 adult tickets for several games a season - meaning fans can enjoy the match, a pie, a programme and a cup of tea for $35 compared to Liverpool, where the cheapest day out available is $90.

Blackburn Rovers marketing manager Simon Williams says four years ago the club made a business decision to boost spectator numbers at Ewood Park through cheap season tickets and $20 tickets for certain category games.

He says that's increased average home attendance to 25,000 a game.

Clubs in London are generally more expensive, with Arsenal almost $190, Chelsea $165 and Tottenham $150 having the highest cost of matchday tickets.

Newcastle United was the only club of the 104 surveyed in England, Wales and Scotland not to disclose their matchday prices
