This weekend's round of the Triathlon World Championship Series at Hyde Park in London may be a test event for the 2012 Olympics but of more significance to the New Zealand athletes is whether they'll be back there in a year.

The event doubles as an Olympic trial for New Zealand athletes with a top 10 finish for the first two New Zealanders effectively booking a spot in London.

Andrea Hewitt, who's ranked third in the World Champs series, says the course will suit her.

Kate McIlroy, Debbie Tanner and Nicky Samuels have also set up their seasons around the race.

Bevan Docherty leads the New Zealand men's charge in London this weekend.
