A few days rest for All Blacks

6:26 am on 8 August 2011

A few days to rest for the All Blacks, while some players could get a longer break than others with the World Cup now just a month away.

Coach Graham Henry says they're going to have a lot of players who haven't played much rugby in recent time lining up against a full-strenght South African side in Port Elizabeth in a fortnight.

That could see someone like Dan Carter, who starred in Saturday night's Bledisloe Cup win at Eden Park, being rested.

Of the players who have yet to turn out for the All Blacks this season, Tony Woodcock is definetly going on tour, while Richard Kahui, Israel Dagg and Isaia Toeava will all travel if fit.

John Afoa is also expected to go on tour after recovering from a fractured cheek bone.

The All Blacks will have a 2 day camp in Auckland later this week before heading off to South Africa.

The next match in the Tri-Nations is between South Africa and Australia next weekend in Durban.
