Robbie Robinson off to Chiefs

The Southland back Robbie Robinson has signed to play for the Chiefs in next year's Super Rugby competition.

Robinson who has played both at first five and fullback for the Highlanders the last 2 years will join Aaron Cruden at the Chiefs.

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says he had the pleasure to work with Robinson during their under 20 World Cup campaign in 2009 where he was very influential in the sucess of that team.

Robinson debuted for Southland in 2208 as an 18-year-old and played all 3 matches of the New Zealand Maori Centenary series last year.

The Chiefs have lost Stephen Donald, Mike Delaney and Mils Muliaina from this years side.
