The Springboks coach Peter de Villiers is expected to name eleven players from the 2007 world cup winning South African side in his squad to play Australia, in the tri nations rugby test in Durban this weekend.

After taking a second-string squad on the two-Test tour of New Zealand and Australia de Villiers is set to include the entire World Cup-winning backline, with centre Jean de Villiers, who missed out on the World Cup in France through injury the only newcomer.

Most significantly, halfback Fourie du Preez, a former world player of the year, is in line to make his first Test appearance since 2009.

The Springboks will also field four forwards from the world cup winning side in loose forward Danie Rossouw, locks Victor Matfield and Bakkies Botha and hooker and captain John Smit.

Fellow hooker, Bismarck du Plessis, is also set to be included on the bench meaning a total of 11 World Cup winners will play the Wallabies in Durban.
