The World road race champion Thor Hushovd is to join Australia's Tour De France winner Cadel Evans in riding for American team BMC next year, having signed a two-year deal with the team.
Hushovd, a two-time Tour de France green jersey winner is coming off an excellent Tour de France for Garmin-Cervelo, where he rode with New Zealand's Julian Dean and won two stages wearing the overall leader's yellow jersey for seven days.
It remains to be seen how the 33-year-old's likely sprint ambitions will gel with Evans' bid to retain the overall Tour de France title next July.
