Barcelona and Manchester United earned over 86 million dollars each after reaching the Champions League football final last season.

Last season's 32 Champions League teams received a total of 1.3 billion dollars from a combination of performance-related payments and the television pool.

United were the biggest earners, with 92 million dollars comprising more than 47 million for their performances and another 45 million from the television pool.

Despite winning the final 3-1, Barcelona's earnings were slightly less at 88 million as they collected less from television.

UEFA says other top earners were Chelsea, Schalke 04, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.
