Boyle wins another medal

The New Zealand swimmer Lauren Boyle has completed a record-breaking stint at the World University Games in China by winning her 5th medal.

The 23 year old finished her campaign with a bronze medal in the 1500 freestyle on the penultimate night of competition.... her haul included 2 golds, while her total surpasses that of Anthony Moss who won 4 medals.

Her clubmate Glenn Snyders claimed his second gold medal of the Games with victory in the 50 breaststroke, setting a new national record in the process.

Snyders has a chance to add to it in the medley relay today.

The New Zealand swim team has 11 medals with 1 day remaining.

Boyle leaves her China sojourn now ranked in the top-10 in the world over 400m and 800m freestyle and 15th on corrected rankings in the 200m freestyle.
