Murray and Bond have sights firmly set on London 2012

New Zealand's world champion men's pair of Eric Murray and Hamish Bond say qualifying for next year's London Olympics will be their one and only focus at the upcoming world rowing championships and any medals picked up along the way are bonus.

The Slovenia event is the first and main Olympic qualification regatta and New Zealand has several individuals and teams expected to book their spot in next year's London games.

The men's pair enter the World Champs having won 13 consecutive races over the past three years and are all but assured of a medal in Slovenia, but Murray says they're taking nothing for granted.

The World Champs get underway on Sunday.
