Lee back in form

The New Zealand number one golfer Danny Lee has rediscovered his form on the Nationwide Tour with a four under 68 at the Fox Den Country Club putting him in contention at the News Sentinel Open.

The former US Amateur Champion, who is currently 10th on the Nationwide Order of Merit, had missed the cut in his previous two tournaments on the PGA Tour's feeder competition.

Lee's tied for 26th, five shots back from American John Mallinger and Korean Sunghoon Kang.

Another good result this week would improve the New Zealander's place inside the top 25 who automatically qualify for the PGA Tour in 2012.

Lee, who was the youngest winner in European Tour history when he won the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic is still looking for his first win as a professional.
