England beat Ireland

England have wrapped up their Rugby World Cup preparations by beating Ireland 20-9 at Lansdowne Road.

It's a fourth straight defeat for Ireland in their warm-up matches and to add injury to insult with the World Cup in New Zealand just under a fortnight away, flanker David Wallace was carried off with a tournament-ending knee ligament injury, which will require surgery to repair the damage.

Shane Jennings has been called into Ireland's Rugby World Cup squad as a direct replacement for Wallace.

Ireland also lost number eight Jamie Heaslip and prop Cian Healy to injury. The injury could rule Healy out of Ireland's first game in the tournament against the USA.
