The Wellington Phoenix football side should still make it to the start of the A League football season, despite the financial plight of club owner and Wellington property developer Terry Serepisos.
Serepisos is selling off his property portfolio to cover $200 million in debt, but Phoenix chief executive Nathan Greenham says that doesn't include the club which ran at a loss of about $1 million last year.
Greenham concedes it's a stressful environment to be operating in and there are question marks over the financial future of the club.
However Greenham maintains the club is in no danger of having its A-League licence revoked.
The A-League for the Phoenix kicks off on Sunday, October 9th away to Gold Coast.
