The England rugby squad board their World Cup flight today, but they'll be leaving behind one of their forwards.

Lock Simon Shaw, who'll turn 38 during the tournament, has a stomach bug and won't be leaving until tonight at the earliest.

Seven other squad members are nursing injuries including their captain Lewis Moody and halfback Ben Youngs, both battling knee problems.

England's opening game is against Argentina in Dunedin on the 10th of September.
