The New Zealand equestrian Andrew Nicholson has continued his good form this season, placing second after the first day of dressage at the Burghley Horse Trials in England.
Nicholson on Avebury are just behind local star William Fox-Pitt.
Of the other New Zealanders Jonathon Paget is 16th, Mark Todd 19th and Caroline Powell 29th.
A number of New Zealanders, including former World and Olympic champion Blytgh Tait, start tonight.
