Melbourne says fiery brawl will have no impact on NRL goal

The Melbourne rugby league winger Anthony Quinn says the fallout from last week's fiery clash with Manly will have no impact on their quest for the NRL premiership.

As well as ending their run of 12 successive victories, a wild brawl at Brookvale Oval left three players suspended, including leading forward Adam Blair who was sidelined for the season.

The Storm have the chance to get back on track tonight when they meet the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium, where they can claim the JJ Giltinan Shield as the competition's minor premiers.

Quinn says the team haven't been distracted at all and they need a win leading into the semis.

The SFS is a happy hunting ground for the Roosters having won seven of their past 10 games there.

On the flipside, the Storm has won only three of their past 13 games at the venue.
