The Wellington Phoenix have signed Spanish midfielder Dani Sanchez on a one-year contract for the upcoming A League football season.
Sanchez, who's 26, has been trialling with the Phoenix for the past two months, though he spent much of that time sidelined with a thigh injury.
Since getting back to full fitness coach Ricki Herbert says he's been impressed by Sanchez's ability, particularly the role he played in the side's 2-all draw against Melbourne Heart in a warm up match ten days ago.
