O'Connor set to miss opening World Cup match

As the Wallabies prepare to board their World Cup plane, the Sydney Morning Herald reports that their star fullback James O'Connor is likely to sit out their opening game against Italy on Sunday.

Until a recent misdemeanour which led to his absence from the Wallabies official World Cup squad announcement and team photograph, O'Connor was dropped for the Tri-Nations decider against the All Blacks, and it's believed Robbie Deans will name an unchanged lineup soon after they arrive today in Auckland.
