The Phoenix and All Whites football coach Ricki Herbert maintains he still has a good working relationship with club owner Terry Serepisos, despite reportedly being owed more than a hundred thousand dollars by the Wellington property developer.
The National Business Review reported earlier this week that Herbert has engaged a lawyer to act on his behalf.
Serepisos has been battling to avoid bankruptcy and last week submitted a plan to the High Court to sell most of his remaining property portfolio.
Players at the club have previously been paid late but at Phoenix training today Herbert was saying little about any possible legal action.
He says he still has a good working relationship with Serepisos and if he wasn't happy at the club he'd leave.
