A huge sense of relief is how new Silver Fern Catherine Latu has desribed finally making the New Zealand netball team.

The 24 year old shooter is one of three new caps in the squad for next month's two test series against England.

She was ruled ineligible to play for the Silver Ferns at the world champs earlier this year having previously represented Samoa

She says while it doesn't make up for missing out on the world champs in Singapore, her selection is a dream come true.

The two other new caps are 19 year old defenders Kayla Cullen and Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick.

Laura Langman will captain the side in the absence of Casey Williams who has recently had ankle surgery and will miss the two tests against England and the following three match series against world champions Australia.
