Canada upset Tonga while Scots again unimpressive

Canada's caused the first upset of the Rugby World Cup, beating Tonga 25-20 in Whangarei while Scotland ground out a 15-6 win over Georgia in Invercargill for their second win.

Canada impressed in their first match, scoring three tries to two including two in the last 15 minutes to keep their perfect record over Tonga in World Cups. It was their third win from three matches.

Tonga are ranked 12 in the world rankings with Canada two places lower at 14th.

In a match with no tries at Rugby Park, the Scots dominated territory and possession, but lacked the skill to penetrate a tough Georgian defence.

In the early afternoon game, Samoan wing Alesana Tuilagi scored three of his side's five tries in their 49-12 win over Namibia in Rotorua.
