Parks boots Scotland past Georgia

It wasn't pretty - again - but for the second time in a week, Scotland were forced to dig deep by one of the Rugby World Cup outsiders as they beat Georgia 15-6 in teeming rain in Invercargill.

The highlights of the tryless clash was probably the goalkicking, but even then the Scots first five Dan Parks landed only four of his seven penalty attempts and a drop goal, with Merab Kvirikashvili replying with two penalties for Georgia.

It's just the sixth tryless match in World Cup history.

Scotland top the pool with nine points ahead of England, having secured a four-try bonus point from their 34-24 win over Romania.

The Scots now get a 10-day break before facing Argentina, in what is likely to be a shoot-out for second-place in the pool and a potential quarter-final meeting with hosts New Zealand.
