The Australia rugby coach Robbie Deans is offering no no excuses for the Wallabies' shock 15-6 defeat by Ireland in their Pool C World Cup match last night in Auckland.
Deans says Ireland played more intelligently and put his side under pressure.
The defeat means Australia are almost certain to be in the same half of the draw as defending champions South Africa and hosts New Zealand in the knockout stages.
Elsewhere South Africa shook off its shaky first up win and dismantled Fiji 49-3 in their second Pool D match in Wellington earlier in the evening
