Broncos coach says Lockyer will be right

The Brisbane Broncos rugby league coach Anthony Griffin has downplayed fears fears his star playmaker Darren Lockyer may have broken his jaw or fractured his cheek in last night's NRL semi-final win over the Dragons.

Ten minutes before his left boot put the Broncos into next weekend's grand final qualifier against Manly, Lockyer collected a stray knee from a teammate.

Lockyer picked himself up and slotted a field goal for the Broncos for a 13-12, golden-point win in his last game at Suncorp Stadium.

Griffin says Lockyer will be fine for the grand final qualifier.
