NZ loosie brought into England squad

The New Zealand-born number eight Thomas Waldrom has been called into England's World Cup squad to cover for Nick Easter who's having treatment on a back injury.

The uncapped Leicester number eight, who played Super rugby for the Hurricanes and Crusaders, was part of England's provisional squad having qualified to play when he discovered his grandmother was born in England.

Last season, his first in England, 28 year old Wadrom was named the Premiership players' player of the season.

England have yet to decide who will replace prop Andrew Sheridan, who was ruled out of the tournament last week.
