Scotland laments bagpipe ban at Rugby World Cup

Scotland's players are lamenting the absence of the skirl of the bagpipes at Rugby World Cup, with tournament organisers banning musical instruments from all venues.

The Scottish newpaper the Daily Record says the Scottish government has written to organisers asking for the ban to be overturned in time for Scotland's final pool match against England on October 1st.

Scotland kicking coach Duncan Hodge says there's cetainly something missing without the pipes and it would be nice to hear them being played when the team warms up as they are inspirational.
