New owners have been announced to take over Wellington's professional football team the Phoenix.
The financially troubled Wellington businessman Terry Serepisos has relinquished the licence for the Phoenix in a deal which salvages the team - two weeks ahead of the start of the Australasian A-League season.
The new owners include the leading Wellington businessmen Lloyd Morrison, his brother Rob, and Gareth Morgan.
