The former Silver Ferns Donna Wilkins is returning to play for the Southern Steel in the trans Tasman netball competition.
Wilkins, who's expecting her third child in January, played for the Canterbury Tactix in this year's competition after leaving the Steel after the 2009 season amidst some disharmony with the franchise.
Wilkins didn't play in the competition last year but turned out for the Canterbury Tactix this year.
She says the concerns she had when leaving the Steel in 2009 have now been addressed.
Her former shooting partner Natalie Avellino is now coaching the Steel.
Wilkins doesn't believe returning to top flight netball just a couple of months after giving birth will be an issue as she's done it twice before.
