All Blacks set to name team for Argentina quarter-final

7:00 am on 7 October 2011

The All Blacks name their side this morning for Sunday's World Cup quarter-final against Argentina at Eden Park, with most of the interest focused on the backline.

The forward pack more or less picks itself with New Zealand captain Richie McCaw sure to start, but whether veteran fullback Mils Muliaina will run on for his 100th Test in the number 15 jersey ahead of tyro Israel Dagg is likely to again command much of the interest.

Who the wings will be and whether to play the younger rising star Dagg there, if Muliaina does get the nod at fullback for his experience in Dan Carter's absence, will be another key issue.

The makeup of the reserves bench should also be key, with halfback Piri Weepu a possible starter as the goalkicker alongside new first-choice first five Colin Slade.

Zac Guildford's hamstring twinge looks set to rule him out of the wing roles.

The team's named at 7.30am.
