Hockeyroos make Black Sticks favourites for Oceania series

The Australian mens hockey coach says his inexperienced side is the underdog heading into the Oceania Cup against New Zealand.

On the eve of today's opening test in Hobart Adam Commens says the Black Sticks deserve to be favourites having won the last two Oceania Cup series, and more recently beaten Australia at the Champions Trophy to improve their world ranking to 6th, one place ahead of Australia.

Fiji's withdrawal from the tournament means New Zealand and Australia are both guaranteed places at next year's Olympics.
