The English Championship football side Birmingham City have agreed a deal to keep West Brom striker Chris Wood on loan until January.

The 19-year-old New Zealand international has enjoyed a prolific spell at St Andrew's, scoring eight times in 11 appearances.

Woods says he's very pleased the loan has been extended, saying he's settled in very well there and all of the lads - who are a great bunch - have really taken to him.

Wood brought the second month of his existing loan deal to an end by coming off the bench to score twice as the Blues beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at the City Ground.

The All White initially moved across from The Hawthorns as cover for the injured Marlon King, Nikola Zigic and Cameron Jerome towards the end of August.

Birmingham have paid an undisclosed loan fee to keep Wood at St Andrew's for the next three months.
