Holden's Garth Tander has won his third Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar endurance race despite a big challenge by defending champion Craig Lowndes.
Tander, whose co-driver Nick Percat wins the race in his first visit to Mount Panorama, held off a fast-finishing Lowndes to win the 1000km event in an absolutely heart-stopping finish.
New Zealander Greg Murphy in a Holden finished third with Mark Winterbottom the highest-placed Ford in fourth.
