England rugby chief rules out resigning after World Cup flop

English rugby's acting chief executive Martyn Thomas has ruled out resigning despite the Six Nations champions failure to deliver at the World Cup.

Thomas, who has already survived two votes of no confidence since June, refused to accept accusations of Twickenham being a dysfunctional organisation in meltdown.

And despite their failure to make the World Cup semi-finals, he's offered his support to team manager Martin Johnson, who is facing questions over his own future before his contract expires in December.
