Taumaunu says Silver Ferns will notice a difference

The newly appointed New Zealand netball coach Wai Taumaunu says the Silver Ferns will certainly notice a difference in approach now that she's taken over from Ruth Aitken.

Aitken was due to finish her tenure as coach after the upcoming test series against Australia but has stepped down early due to family reasons.

Taumanu has been Aitken's assistant for the past three years and has been appointed for the next four years taking her through to the 2015 world champs in Sydney.

Taumanu says she has a very different approach to her predecessor in that she is much more direct, while Aitken had a quieter and happier presence.

However she doubts it'll take the players long to adjust seeing she's been Aitken's assistant for the past three years.
