The Australian netball captain Natalie von Bertouch will not take part in the three-test series against the Silver Ferns later this month.
Von Bertouch was initially ruled out of the current series against England, but a slower than expected recovery from a foot injury has forced her to withdraw from the New Zealand tests too.
She says she's hugely disappointed to miss out on the first chance after World Championships to meet New Zealand on home soil.
The midcourt maestro says it was a hard decision but says the Diamonds are more than capable of defeating the Silver Ferns without her.
Melbourne Vixen's Madison Browne will remain in the Diamonds team for the New Zealand series while Catherine Cox will retain the captaincy.
