7:14 am on 14 October 2011

The Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez will face disciplinary proceedings for alleged breaches of contract, after his apparent refusal to take the field in the club's Champions League football match against Bayern Munich last month.

Tevez was suspended while the club investigated his conduct, after manager Roberto Mancini said Tevez had refused to come on as a substitute during the 2-0 loss.

The club says following the investigation it's found there is a case for Tevez to answer of alleged breaches of contract and he will now have to appear before a discplinary hearing.

Tevez has been trying to leave the club for some time.
