France insist they're not favourites in World Cup semi final

France insist they're not favourites for their Rugby World Cup semi-final against Wales on Saturday, despite their impressive recent record over their rivals.

France have won their last three matches against the Welsh, and have a superior World Cup history, but insist it will count for nothing at Eden Park.

Assistant coach Emile Ntamack says the side is under pressure and while they know they can play well there's no certainty it will be enough.

France number eight Imanol Harinordoquy says it's dangerous to go into a match as the favourite and they prefer to be outsiders as it helps their preparation.

The TAB has Wales as the $1.75 favourites to France's $2.
