11:30 am on 15 October 2011

New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has made her second WTA doubles final this year, winning the semi-final at the WTA tournament in Linz, Austria with her Russian parter Elena Vesnina.

The fourth seeds beat the unseeded pairing of Latvia's Liga Dekmeijere and Petra Martic of Croatia 6-2 6-4 to book their final spot against either Germans Julia Goerges and Anna-Lena Groenefeld or Bosnian Mervana Jugic-Salkic and local Sandra Klemenschits.

That semi-final is tomorrow with the final held on Monday.

Erakovic reached the Auckland Classic final in January. She won her lone WTA doubles title, the Pattaya Open, with Thai Tamarine Tanasurgarn in Thailand back in February 2010.

Meanwhile, New Zealand's Rubin Statham and Australian Brydan Klein lost their doubles final in the third set tiebreak at the Men's Futures tournament in Kargoorlie to Australia's Michael Look and Nicolas Meister of the USA, 2-6 7-6.
