The 20-year-old British golfer Tom Lewis has earned a European Tour exemption after winning the Portugal Masters at Vilamoura in only his third event as a professional.

He came through the pack to finish on 21 under par and record a two strokes victory over Rafael Cabrera-Bello.

Lewis, who won the Silver Medal for leading amateur at The British Open earlier this year and was part of Europe's successful Walker Cup team, says the thought of winning a tournament so early in his professional career was beyond his wildest dreams.
